Dax Green and Gold Review

dax green and gold review

Been wanting to test this out for awhile now..  Styling wax of the new millenium it says, sounds like some high tech business.  Looking at the ingredients it kind of is, you got the classic beeswax, jojoba, safflower, and olive oil for a nice natural blend.. plus some other things thrown into the mix.  Dax definitely knows what they're doing, I like how they always throw some extra shit in to make your hair how they put it, softer shinier conditions softens etc.. not that I care too much about all those things but it's the thought that counts, everyone likes added features right?  More bang for the buck, plus it seems with a lot of their products you can tell it works it's way into your hairs and does extra stuff that a lot of pomades don't throughout the day.  Enough of the smalltalk, time to get down.

Popping the hood you see some really interesting looking goop.. bright ass yellow with a mild, almost earthy, clean product smell.  Very nice, and somewhat intriguing.. it's so bright it looks like some hardcore shit, who knows what's going to happen, might be from outer space or something.

Digging in this stuff is HARD, real hard.. which is good for me, I like the heavyweight products.  Scooped some out and realized after you break the surface that super shiny exterior disappears and you see it looks like a matte wax.  Cool again for me, looks like a winner so far.

I rubbed this dab into my palm with my fingertips and circled it out for a minute to try and soften it a bit  but it kept it's hardness, which I don't mind.. means it's gonna hold like a vice grip.  I put it in with no problem, applied with ease and combed it right through.  Got my style kicking real quick, had my hairs at full attention.

Boom bam bing, put it in, comb it up, out the door!  Looks like a winner to me, this stuff does what it's supposed to with no hassle.

Easy, real easy.. threw it in and with a couple quick strokes of the comb everything was in place.  Holds real tight too, extra firm.. like a wax should.

I rocked it all night and not a thing dropped out of place, looked brand new hours after putting it in.  If anything does fall out, re combing is no problem.  Only I wouldn't try running your fingers through, but I don't really do that anyhow.  Overall this one gets top billing.. price is right at around $2.50 you can't lose, smell is very light if you're looking for a strong scent but it's still very nice.  Holds everything in place, let's you get as much or as little height as you want and keeps it tight all day.  Does give it a mostly matte finish if you're looking for the shiny slicked up look but I imagine a light top coat of something shinier would work fine with this product.  I love it, I'm a big fan of the extra hard and waxy, cement like products.. don't even mind the almost dry/matte look for a change up..  Looking forward to rocking this often.  Grab some if you see it or check out Dax online and see what they have to say
